We're a team of technologists and operators building for mission-driven organizations, united by a single goal: give every community the tools to prevent violence before it happens.
Gun violence continues to devastate communities across the country. In 2025, more than 40,000 people were affected by gun violence, leaving families, neighborhoods, and entire cities struggling to recover. For those impacted, access to timely support can mean the difference between healing and falling through the cracks.
Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Community Violence Intervention (CVI) programs provide critical services like housing, mental health support, and employment assistance to individuals affected by violence. But these organizations are often held back by disconnected systems, slow communication, and manual processes that delay the help people need most.
Safesponse gives community violence intervention teams and CBOs the tools to work together in real time. Workers can identify available resources, confirm capacity with organizations, and connect individuals to services without unnecessary delays. Less time on logistics, more time saving lives.
Billions are being allocated to violence intervention programs and CBOs, but scaling requires better infrastructure.
Funders expect real-time data and measurable outcomes, not spreadsheets.
High caseloads and disconnected systems are stretching teams thin.
Decision-makers need data to allocate resources and prove program impact.
Workers find available resources and confirm capacity instantly, not through phone trees and voicemails.
Case management, progress tracking, and compliance reporting without adding to the workload.
End-to-end encryption, role-based access controls, and full audit logging from day one.
Hands-on onboarding to get teams up and running.
Every decision starts with the community members we serve.
Protecting sensitive data is non-negotiable.
We measure success by lives saved, not buzzwords.
Our users are our best teachers.
Community safety teams are fighting violence with outdated tools. Intake is inconsistent. Case tracking is fragmented across spreadsheets and SMS threads. There's no centralized intelligence layer, no institutional memory, and no real-time visibility for leadership. Operations are reactive, insights are delayed, and burnout is high. The organizations closest to the problem deserve infrastructure that matches the urgency of their mission.
Safesponse was founded in Milwaukee by a public health leader with five years of leading government-based community violence intervention initiatives and lived experience with gun violence, alongside technologists who have built AI systems at scale. We saw the same problem from both sides: frontline workers drowning in manual processes, and leadership flying blind without data.
Today, we're working with government agencies, police departments, and community-based organizations to prove that better tools lead to better outcomes — and that the communities doing this work deserve technology built specifically for them.
Whether you're a violence intervention organization, government agency, or community partner, we'd love to show you what Safesponse can do.
